Moyes needs new players — and quickly

It is understandable that he publicly wants to give his present players a vote of confidence.
But he knows he needs additions and quickly.
United fans are understandably getting nervous about a failure to land any new players.
It is not for the lack of trying on Moyes part.
He will not give up on his pursuit of Cesc Fabregas believing the player wants the move to Old Trafford. Central midfield is undoubtedly an area he needs to strengthen.
He also needs another striker. Wayne Rooney is the only real back up in terms of goals for Robin van Persie. While United are determined to hold on to him can the club really be convinced of his state of mind come the big kick-off? Rooney wants out definitely this time.
The saga has gone too far for it to be retrieved and for the club to see the very best of the player again.

Nani hints at United stay

NANI has hinted he wants to stay at Manchester United — despite interest from Monaco.

The Portuguese winger, 26, is in the final year of his current contract at Old Trafford.
Monaco are keen to sign him for an £8.5million fee and offer a three-year deal.
But Nani indicated he would like to play under new Red Devils boss David Moyes.
He said: “Of course there are changes but we hope the new manager comes with a lot of new ideas and will help us win again.
“Players have to prove themselves because it is a different manager.
“He knows the Premier League so he knows most of us.

GARETH BALE TO MADRID
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has opened dialogue with the Liga giants in the last 24 hours and is expected to meet Florentino Perez on August 6 to discuss a world-record deal
By Greg Stobart

Tottenham have finally opened talks with Real Madrid over the €115 million sale of Gareth Bale, with club officials increasingly convinced the Welshman will leave this summer.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been adamant all summer that the club's prized asset would not be sold under any circumstances.

However, Madrid's concerted campaign has borne fruit in the last couple of days, with their most recent tactic - a warning to Bale and his advisors that it is 'now or never' for him to force a move - prompting the 24-year-old to privately declare in a meeting with Levy that he wants to join the Spanish giants.

Enyeama to Lille as First Choice Goal Kipper

The Nigeria goalkeeper has been rewarded with a starting place in the French club by his coach following his year-long loan in Israel
Nigeria’s Vincent Enyeama will be first choice goalkeeper at Lille for the 2013/14 season after a year-long loan deal at Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel.
30-year-old Enyeama left Lille last season after being unable to get consistent play time at the then French champions as he was second choice to Mickael Landreau.
However, L’Equipe reports that coach Rene Girard will now make the Nigerian his first choice in goal with the new season set to commence, ahead of Steeve Elana who took charge after Landreau’s departure in December 2012.
Enyeama, who had been linked with a move to Spain, will look to stay at the club as he hopes to keep his place in the Nigeria squad leading to next year’s World Cup in Brazil.

Outgoing Luiz

CHELSEA told Bayern Munich: that David Luiz will cost £60million.

New Bayern boss Pep Guardiola was keen on adding the versatile Brazilian, 26, to his squad and lined up a £40m package plus £5m in add-ons to tempt Blues.
But Chelsea insisted they did not want to sell and told the European champions: It’s £60m or we’re not interested.
Bayern thought that was way over-priced for Luiz — who cost £21.3m from Benfica in January 2011 — and pulled out of the bidding.

However, Goal reported that Pep have dismissed report linking him to the Chelsea star and that he is satisfied with his defenders owing to the 4:2 defeat to Dortmond last saturday.
