United's chasing Mesut Ozil

David Moyes is weighing up a move for Real Madrid midfield Mesut Ozil.

United will have to persuade Real to sell, but doing so may help the Spanish giants balance the books after a big summer.
Especially if they manage to winkle Gareth Bale out of Tottenham in what would be a world-record deal of at least £80million.
United also have a move for Everton’s midfield powerhouse Marouane Fellaini lined up, but want a technical player as well.
Moyes has lost out to Bayern Munich for Barcelona's Thiago Alcantara and had two bids turned down for Barca’s former Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas, but is not yet ready to give up that chase.
"I'm confident we'll have players in before the start of the season, yeah," said the United boss on Thursday.
"We're involved in several players we're looking at and that will continue. Will we get them before the deadline? I hope so. But we're working very hard to do so.
"This was always going to be a difficult window for me personally, because I joined Manchester United on July 1.
"So that's given you a short period [in which to do deals] and also to get to know the players, to get to know the market."
